Bienvenue sur mon blog! That’s Welcome to my blog for all those who don’t speak French. I hope you find my writing at least partially, or if I’m lucky, thoroughly entertaining.

I’m going to try and keep this introduction short. Through my writing and the topics I talk about, people who don’t know me will learn bits and pieces, and people who already have the pleasure of knowing me will get to understand me a little more. In short, in a very LinkedIn-esque/first day of school manner, I’m a recently graduated Houstonian from Washington University in St. Louis with a BSBA degree in entrepreneurship, second major in marketing and minor in design. I played varsity volleyball for three of my four years in college, was a member of an on-campus fashion magazine called Armour for all 4 years, and studied abroad in Paris during my junior spring. I’m a Leo sun, Sagittarius moon, Pisces rising, and the oldest daughter to two Nigerian immigrants. Amongst many other things, I love fashion, art and good food, hate raw sugar snap peas, and desperately want to travel the world. I’m missing a lot but that’s the gist.

I’ve had the idea to start a blog for far too long now, at least 6+ years, but I think graduating college a couple of weeks ago (5/12/24) and officially being an unemployed adult has given me a kick up the ass to do all the things I want to do including learning French, baking more cakes and of course, more writing! I think entries will vary from very casual and train of thought to more formal, polished pieces if there’s research involved, or I want to have something to submit to magazines and whatnot. I’m not exactly sure what this is going to look like. I haven’t really planned it out, which is pretty unlike me, but I’m intrigued to see where this impulse decision on display for the world to see will lead me. Okay, that’s all! Thanks for reading.
