Digesting the election

This is a list of articles talking about the election- why Harris wasn’t going to win almost from the beginning, the holes/missteps in her campaign, the shift in the mindset of the electorate as well as both the Democratic & Republican parties, and just general structures (ie: white supremacy, sexism, the downfall of modern capitalism etc.) that aided in her loss. If you consider yourself a leftist, hold leftist ideologies, or just generally hold any sort of progressive ideals, I think these are fantastic reads to remind you that people out there share similar sentiments about her campaign, the future of American democracy (and whether or not that will exist in four years’ time), and give you a few sprinkles of hope for the future. The first article especially, from Current Affairs, is probably the one that summarizes all of these thoughts best, so if you’re going to read just one of them, I definitely recommend that piece. It’s long, but so important.
