July reflections and August goals
July! Went by pretty fast thanks to my week-long D.C. escape. I didn’t listen to an album every day but there were some days I listened to like five or six new albums a day so in the end, I definitely surpassed 31. I would say top five albums from my listens this month (in no particular order) are:
The Loop by Jordan Rakei
No Tonic by Stolen Gin
Charm by Clairo
Kansas Anymore by Role Model
Latin Freaks by Funkool Orchestra
I most definitely did not read for 20 minutes a day, but I am reading a little more consistently. I think this is a goal I’m just going to have to continue to really work at. Currently reading The Anomaly, which is a bit of an easier, less worldbuilding focused book, and it’s really engaging so far.
One of my August goals is to make my bed every day, just because it’s nice to go out and come back to a neat bed. It’s the little things! I think I’ll need to set a daily alarm starting out but hoping to make this one stick. The second goal is to do 20 minutes of yoga daily. With working out three times a week, this will be a great way to keep me less sore. Essentially, both of these goals are morning routine focused so that I’m setting myself up for success for the day and feel more put together.
